Privacy & Ethics

This policy outlines how The Odalisque Letters handles your information and the ethical standards that guide this project.

1. Privacy & Data Handling

Your privacy is a priority. This site is powered by Substack, which acts as our technology provider for subscriptions, payments, and newsletters.

  • Information Collected: We only collect the basic information you voluntarily provide, typically your name and email address, when you subscribe or comment.
  • Payment Security: All financial transactions are handled securely by Substack and Stripe. We do not store or have access to your full credit card details.
  • Third Parties: We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your information is used solely to deliver the content you have requested.
  • Your Rights: You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any of our emails. You also have the right to request access to or deletion of the limited personal data we hold.

2. Image Ethics & Intellectual Property

Every visual in the Labyrinth is chosen with purpose. Images are sourced from licensed stock libraries (such as Adobe Stock and Freepik), AI-generated artworks, or original photography.

  • Copyright: All intellectual property rights remain with their respective creators.
  • Informed Consent: We do not use images of identifiable real persons in explicit contexts without their informed, explicit consent.
  • Credit: Original works are created by the author and credited accordingly where appropriate.

3. Community Standards

This is a professional and clandestine space for the exploration of power and desire. While we encourage thoughtful discussion, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy for abuse, harassment, or non-consensual sharing of other members’ experiences.
